MANAGED IMPROVEMENT FOR UNPRECEDENTED GROWTH…
We can preserve our history and culture while leading with innovation and “managed” progress that is best for the citizens of Tomball. You matter to me, Tomball matters to me.
(1) These items I’m referring to regarding preservation of our history while embracing Tomball’s future are not mutually exclusive. I’m passionate about leading our community on issues like medians down Main Street. This is not how we embrace progress as this video would suggest from a fellow hometown constituent. In fact, I believe it’s the opposite, and will greatly hinder progress of our downtown area. Additionally, it will kill our downtown vibe Tomball has spent the last 8 years building.
(2) Anyone who owns or manages a business knows that you must embrace progress — stay innovative to remain in business. For 38 years, I embraced self employment owning my CPA & Financial Planning Firm assisting Individuals and Businesses to achieve their personal and financial goals. I did this successfully in light of the always changing tax laws and regulations.
I'm a planner, and with the Grace of God, successfully planned my own retirement which began in January of this year. Being in business for almost 4 decades, my company constantly had to reinvent itself every decade to service the change in customer base, products, technology, marketing, workforce, laws, and regulations. This is what I accomplished along with a fabulous team to achieve progress in my industry and to sustain my successful firm.
(3) What does my CPA & Financial Planning business experience have to do with being Mayor? Well, managing personal investments and helping businesses maintain a healthy bottom-line is an advantage I can leverage serving Tomball as Mayor — what I refer to as managed growth. In addition, I no longer have a business to promote. This will allow me to focus my business and management experience along with undivided attention to join City Leadership in serving citizens and businesses alike. This is what our town needs now and will serve Tomball well into the future. The citizens and businesses are the "Clients” of Tomball.
